About Adiba Islam

I'm Adiba. I came into EcoPower '26 tired — that was literally my first roll call word — but I left with new friends and the food spots they put me on to. That feels right. I'm someone who notices things: how to make sure people leave with something from you, why consistency matters more than any one big moment, what it means to try new foods and new experiences and sit with both. I draw analog horror art in my free time, which honestly says something about how I think — I find the strange parts interesting. I'm a rising senior from Queens with a brain somewhere between science and art: I love astronomy, I draw to process stress and emotions, and I recently started learning piano—emphasis on started. This summer I built LightOff, a website about light pollution in New York with a quiz and a guide people can actually use. I added visuals, improved the UX, and kept going even when I wasn't sure. Consistency is key. I'm still going.
